Museum Hürtgenwald

Museum Hürtgenwald

The theme of the Museum 'Hürtgenwald 1944 und im Frieden' is the Battle of the Hürtgenwald. The Battle of the Bulge is more known, but this battle is certainly comparable in human loss. The museum wants to keep alive the memory of this costly battle in which tens of thousands of soldiers lost their lives.

In front of the museum is the starting point of a historical walk of about 10 km. This walk takes you past locations of bitter fighting as the Kall bridge, with the bridge to the monument "A time for healing", the Sanitätsbunker at Simonskall, the Mestrenger Mühle and the German Military Cemetery Vossenack.
